I was shocked, as we all were, to learn of Guy’s passing on that fateful morning.

I didn’t know Guy very well nor for a long time, we had first met in June 2019 at the MG Days in Magny-Cours in France. I was there with my MG ZT-T 260, and so was Guy with his wife Miriam and their kids. As I blew a tyre on the Lurcy-Lévis track and had no spare wheel with me, Guy gently offered me with a spare wheel of his own, so I could finish the trip home. That’s when I realized that Guy’s generosity was not in vain.

A few months later, I happily joined him and other MG enthusiasts at the Ardennen meeting in August at Berdorf (and returning the spare wheel). It was such a nice and perfectly orchestrated event that I knew I’d be coming back for more…for Guy, his enthusiasm, passion, and kindness.

My sincere condoleances to Miriam, their children, and all those who were close to him.

All my best,
